St Johnstone Community Trust Festive Friends Project

The St. Johnstone Community Trust has launched its Festive Friends project. Supported by The SPFL Trust, the project will see them host a Christmas event at McDiarmid Park and also deliver Christmas hampers to those in the community who are unable to attend. Would like to nominate any of your constituents, relatives, friends, or neighbours?

Festive Friends is a project which supports older people who are at risk of being alone at Christmas. This year, they are strongly encouraging those who can leave the house to attend their in-person Christmas event. Hampers will be prioritised for those unable to leave the house or who have very limited mobility. Transport support can be made available for those who require it too.

Christmas Event as McDiarmid Park

  • Thursday, 21st December
  • 3-course Christmas meal. Set menu.
  • Table games and fun activities throughout the day
  • Musical entertainment provided by The Neverly Sisters

Christmas Hamper Delivery

  • Tuesday, 19th December
  • Door-step delivery surprise (shh, don’t tell them!)
  • Include food items, small gifts and activities

Please be mindful there is an eligibility criteria for people being nominated. This can be found on their online nomination form which they invite you to complete should you wish to nominate anyone: https://forms.gle/VjP23CG6XRKpcKxU8.

Both Festive Friends events are free. Spaces are limited and they will be in touch with you to confirm if your nomination has been successful.
