Scott Weston, Director of Sport at Morrison’s Academy said, “What an incredible second 7s tournament! After the success of last year's inaugural event, we weren’t sure how we could top it—but today has truly exceeded all expectations. A huge congratulations to all the athletes for their dedication, passion, and confidence on the field. Both the hockey and rugby teams displayed exceptional skills, and every player should take great pride in their performances and in representing their schools with such distinction.”

The 2025 event was generously sponsored by Caledonia Removals, Right Medicine Pharmacy, QSI Consultancy Group and Highland Spring.

Scott continued, “The contributions from these local businesses played a crucial role in the success of this year’s event, and I’d like to express my gratitude to them for coming on board as sponsors and helping to make this event truly unforgettable. A big thank you also goes to the participating schools and spectators for coming back and showing unwavering support of this fantastic event.”

As well as the first class lineup of matches, the tournament featured food and drink and a great opportunity for players, coaches and referees to relax and connect off the field.
