  • The Youth Collective needs your support to make it happen, and in return you’ll reach new customers through a range of promotional opportunities.
  • The Wall of Fame: you’ll have your business added to the exhibition’s sponsors' panel. We’re seeking a contribution of £250+
  • The Bouncing Flea : you’ll have your business added to the exhibition’s sponsors' panel and your support highlighted on social media. This would be a contribution of £500+

About the Youth Collective

Supported by the Gannochy Trust, the Youth Collective aims to embed the voices and leadership of young people in development of Perth Art Gallery and Perth Museum. By establishing our venues as platforms, our goal is to enable young people to express themselves through creative ways.

The exhibition

As a twisted take on the golden-era of cinema, Fleatpit Theatre has been conceptualised by the Youth Collective as a space for exploring contemporary issues around commercialism, celebrity and public identity. It was inspired by artist Rachel Maclean’s Mimi High Street Shop, seen in Perth 2023.

Themes of identity and nationhood all arise in the work and will hopefully stir debate amongst viewers. The Youth Collective were inspired by Maclean’s work and the legacies of cinema – making their own statements through artworks, audience interaction and museum objects.
