Perthshire Chamber Golf Day 2024


GOLFERS enjoyed perfect weather at Perthshire Chamber’s annual golf day, which took place at Crieff Golf Club last Friday (30th August).

After hot rolls, tea and coffee, and a warm welcome, players set off on the renowned, Ferntower Course for an excellent round of golf, followed by a two-course meal in the clubhouse.

The event saw entrants compete for a raft of titles including Winning Team, Winning Individual, Yellow Ball, Nearest the Pins and Longest Drive.

The Winning Team title was claimed this year by a team from the UHI Perth and Bluesky Experiences, coming together on the day and consisting of (l to r) George Brown and Stewart McEwan of UHI Perth, Chamber CE Vicki Unite and Stefan Law of Bluesky Experiences, who each took home the Carbon Winning Team Trophy.

The Winning Individual was Stefan Law of Bluesky Experiences who won the Chamber Millennium Trophy.

Winners of our Yellow Ball competition were the Hardies Team – (l to r) Alan Chappell, Thomas, Chamber CE Vicki Unite, Alex Paul and Peter Weir, who won the Rosebowl.

Taking home the title of Longest Drive (Men) Winner was Thomas Jamieson of the Hardies Team.

The Longest Drive (Ladies) Winner was Eileen Cooper of the Thorntons Team.

The Winner of Nearest the Pin was Charlie Gallager of the Azets Team.

Winners received lovely prizes including a four ball courtesy of Crieff Golf Club, 1884 Gin from Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, Glassware from Dartington Crystal and Caithness Glass and Chocolate and Sweets from Gordon and Durward.  All guests were also gifted match tickets from St. Johnstone Football Club.

Longest Drive Ladies – Eileen Cooper of the Thorntons Team

Longest Drive Men – Thomas Jamieson of the Hardies Team
