Fife Council: Accessible Tourism Open Day

The Rings, Chance Inn, Cupar, Fife, KY15 5PQ
Friday 2nd February, 10am - 12 noon
This is a free event open to any tourism business in Fife,
Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross

Located in the heart of the Fife countryside, near Cupar, The Rings offers
self-catering accommodation with advanced accessibility features. Owner
Moira Henderson is a passionate advocate for inclusive tourism and has
developed innovative approaches to make her accommodations fully
accessible. Come along to this informal event to witness firsthand Moira's
ingenious approach to accessibility, and learn how to apply these methods
to your own business to make it more inclusive.

People with accessiblity needs often take longer
breaks than average and spend more than other
market groups.

  • Inclusive businesses have higher occupancy rates
    and a loyal customer base.

  • 17% of the world population has a disability - that’s
    a substantial market segment!

  • 56% of visitors think that if a venue doesn’t
advertise its accessiblity services, they don’t have
    any.

  • There is a lack of fully accessible accommodation
in Scotland to meet all needs and budgets.

  • Everyone deserves to have a positive tourism
    experience!
