As well as heralding the much anticipated return of the Stone of Destiny to Perthshire, the opening weekend will also unveil the Museum's debut exhibition, Unicorn, which will run from 30th March – 22nd September 2024.
A packed programme, which includes activity in the city and across the region, will be promoted with the key message that Perth is the place to spend Easter weekend.
A formal opening ceremony will take place on Saturday 30th March from 10.30am to 12 noon, with choir, pipe band and speeches; this will take place near Perth Museum.

Forty-one community projects set up to tackle the Cost of Living crisis and climate change have been awarded grants from Perth and Kinross Council’s Green Living Fund after a public vote.
Community groups across Perth and Kinross were able to bid for a share of over £225,000 worth of funding to support their projects.

Mark Robertson is the founding director of Robertsons of Scotland, a luxury clothing brand specialising in cashmere, tweed, and waxed waterproofs.
Based in Auchterarder, the direct-to-consumer and wholesale business has grown to serve an international audience since it launched in 2019 and is currently set to move into a new, purpose-built studio.
Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam shared his leadership lessons with a captive audience at the Transform Business Festival, recently held in Perth.
The event, delivered by Elevator and Business Gateway Tayside in collaboration with Perth & Kinross Council, connected local businesses and support organisations, allowing them to learn and share knowledge.
Attendees also enjoyed workshops on a range of topics including marketing, AI, and Net Zero, alongside fireside chats, and an Ecosystem Village where they could access advice and support.
The fund provides specific support to businesses, enabling them to invest in capital projects to implement new systems, new ways of working, new machinery, and investment in green technology.
Grants are available up to £25,000 covering up to 50% of eligible costs. Project must be of minimum £10,000, (ie a minimum £5,000 match from the business).
Office space in Pullar House is now being marketed for rent as Perth and Kinross Council explores the possibility of creating an integrated public service estate in the centre of Perth.
Marketing of the office accommodation will allow the Council to better gauge interest from other parties before the Council makes a final decision on the future of Pullar House in August 2024.

Funded by Scottish and Southern Energy for rural businesses in Perth & Kinross, this event is hosted by Growbiz and will see Thomas Billam from Zero Waste Scotland run a workshop on Net Zero. The workshop will help you understand your business's carbon footprint, how to measure it, what it means and how to reduce the emissions it represents.

The Famous Grouse Ideas Centre at Perth Creative Exchange is hosting several introductory workshops for creatives and businesses in Perth & Kinross to learn how the space can help elevate their business.
The space benefits from state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D printing, laser cutting, large format poster printing and UV printing, and a suite of Macs and PCs running Adobe Creative Cloud.
