Blackadders: September Employment Law Webinars 2024

From October 2024, a new law places a proactive duty on employers to prevent the sexual harassment of their employees in the course of their employment.

Many employers are not ready or are perceived by their employees not to be ready. For instance:

  • 58% of mid and large-sized companies in the UK do not have an anti-sexual harassment policy
  • Over a third of employees do not think touching someone’s breasts, slapping a colleagues bum or making sexual comments about someone’s appearance is wrong
  • One in 10 employees strongly distrust their organisations’ leadership
  • 30% of employees believe more would be achieved if they went to the media about workplace misconduct, rather than to their own management team.

Whether your preparations are underway and you simply need a little reassurance that you’re doing the right things, or you’ve yet to get started and don’t know where to begin, we can help.

Join Donna Reynolds for our series of ‘how to’ training where she’ll take you through, step by step, the four key actions, that employers should take to meet their new obligation:

  1. How to conduct a risk assessment, including how to identify, access and control risks and how to tackle leadership and cultural issues
    Tuesday 3 September, 9.30 – 10.30

  2. How to draft a prevention of sexual harassment policy, including how to tailor the policy for your workplace and workforce and how to involve employees
