Tayside and Strathearn Help for Ukraine
Tayside and Strathearn Help for Ukraine started six-weeks ago and since then have sent over 250-tons of food and donations with a value in excess of £280,000 to Ukraine via Poland. They also raised £1,751 at the Concert for Ukraine.
This is all due to the generosity of the businesses and people of Tayside and surrounding areas. Morris Leslie have provided warehousing and equipment for as long as necessary and as long as the businesses and people of Tayside are able to continue to donate, Tayside and Strathearn Help for Ukraine will continue to hire lorries and send the donations.
Each lorry can cost between £2,500 and £4,000 depending on size, and every penny raised goes towards the fuel costs as all staff and helpers are volunteers.
Tayside and Strathearn Help for Ukraine are issuing a plea for more donations, though understand that these are hard times for all and they only ask you to give what you can.
There is a list of drop off points all over Tayside (listed on their Facebook page and on their website - link below).
All donations are very gratefully received, hopefully this war will end as soon as possible!
