Scottish Government Daily Update - Monday 14th December 2020

This update from the Scottish Government directs businesses to the most up to date information on COVID-19 as we move forward with our economic response.

The Find Business Support website continues to provide details on the assistance available as well as information and advice on how businesses can restart safely through and out of lockdown.

At today’s media briefing the First Minister urged those who feel it is essential to meet others over the Christmas period to think about limiting unnecessary contacts now to help reduce the chance of passing on the virus inadvertently during the festive season.

She also recommended that office Christmas parties be postponed - even where people are sharing a workspace - or held virtually to avoid the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Work to bring superfast broadband to the North of Scotland, including some of the most remote rural and island communities, will start in the New Year.

Updates on the Childminding Workforce Support Fund and the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme and information about the Nursery Rates Relief Scheme and the Adapt and Thrive Programme have been added to COVID-19 guidance on the day care services for children.
