REMAKE in Crieff gets £57k funding to support local community

Funding via The National Lottery Community Fund of almost £57k has gone to local environmental charity, Remake, in Crieff, to help support people in the Strathearn community. Remake plans to use some of the funding to open a community tool library in the response hub to allow locals access to items such as IT equipment, household items and play equipment.

Other local charities are also due to benefit from the funding, such as Creative Crieff who uses the creative arts to support locals in gaining further skills and employability.

The new funding will be put to helping people facing issues such as isolation and poverty, and there are plans to open a Response Hub on the town’s High Street, which will provide services such as debt counselling and a community fridge. Some of the funding will also provide public service radio announcements and community groups will provide activities to help combat loneliness and keeping people connected.
