Perthshire hotel offers summer sessions with sporting professionals

Free workshops are being offered with some of Scotland’s top sporting professionals at a Perthshire hotel.

Crieff Hydro Hotel is set to welcome professional golfer, Gabrielle Macdonald and members of the Strathclyde Sirens netball team for special workshops. The hotel is a proud sponsor of both Gabrielle and the Sirens.

Gabrielle will be on hand to lead group masterclass followed by personalised tips for each attendee on 21 July. The hour-long clinics will take place at 10am and 1pm at Crieff Hydro’s Par 3 course.

Members of the Strathclyde Sirens will be at Crieff Hydro Hotel on 22 July to offer two sessions for children.

The workshops will teach basic netball skills and incorporate a variety of fun games. The morning session, taking place between 10am-12pm is specifically for children aged nine and under while the 1pm-3pm session is open to children of all ages.

The last 30 minutes of each session will include time for photos with the players and each child will be presented with a certificate for taking part.

Kristian Campbell, General Manager of Crieff Hydro Hotel, said: “We are a proud supporter of both Gabrielle and the Sirens and are delighted to have the opportunity to share their passion for their sports with guests and the local community through these free sessions.

“Gabrielle has very kindly found time in her busy Ladies European Tour schedule to lead the golf clinics, it’s a great opportunity for golf enthusiastic to learn from a pro.

“Our netball sessions are a fantastic activity to help keep children entertained during the summer holidays.

“Netball is quickly becoming the fastest growing sport in Scotland, and we’d love to help encourage youngsters to develop a passion for the sport through these workshops.

“While there is no cost to participate, places must be booked in order to attend as spaces are limited.”

Sessions for both Strathclyde Sirens and Gabrielle Macdonald are open to both guests and those local to the area.
