Latest Scottish Government Daily Update Received Thursday 14th January 2021

This update from the Scottish Government directs businesses to the most up to date information on COVID-19 as we move forward with our economic response.

The Find Business Support website continues to provide details on the assistance available as well as information and advice on how businesses can restart safely through and out of lockdown.

The UK has now left the European Union, this update will highlight developments around Brexit that will be of particular interest to businesses.

At today’s media briefing the First Minister gave a recap of the additional restrictions which were announced yesterday, and come into force on Saturday, covering click and collect services, takeaways and the consumption of alcohol in public places.

In addition she highlighted the importance of self-isolating to keep the virus under control and mental health services available if needed.

Additional travel restrictions for the whole of South America and a number of countries with transport links to Brazil are being introduced from 4.00am on Friday following a new variant of Coronavirus being discovered in Brazil. Further information is available here.
