Perthshire Chamber of Commerce

Invitation: Perth: The most sustainable small city in Europe - what will it take?

Invitation to join us on Friday 6th November 2020 (09.00 - 12.30) and again on Friday 4th December 2020 (09.00 - 12.30)

Good afternoon

I would like to invite you to take part in our exciting, online conference exploring a vision to make Perth the most sustainable small city in Europe.

On Friday 6th November we are bringing leading examples from across Europe to inspire and inform our vision. On the 4th December we will reconvene to focus on practical, hands on workshops to advance key themes for Perth’s sustainable future. We are delighted to welcome Bo Asmus Kjeldgaard, the former mayor of Copenhagen, to give our keynote address along with contributions from Professor Carlos Moreno (author of the 15 min city) and workshops and Expo Booths featuring Helsinki, Ghent, Aalborg, Amsterdam, Freiburg and the wonderful northern Finish town of Ii among many more. The event is designed to be fun and informative with lots to explore for our delegates.

Our invitation extends to everyone with a role to play in our vision for the city and wider Perthshire. Major employers, local businesses, community groups, local organisations and our Local Authority will be joined by international guests and national partners.

Register here (using Google Chrome for the best results with our online platform)

To find out a little more and to register for both days of the conference please click the link above and follow the registration link. We are holding the event using an online platform called Hopin and you can see a short introduction to the platform here  It is really easy and good fun to use with lots of networking opportunities and digital Expo Booths showcasing interesting projects, companies and organisations.

The main programme of keynote addresses, workshops and panel discussions runs between 09.00 and 12.30 on Friday 6th Nov with similar format on the 6th Dec.  The event is open on Thursday 5th Nov for delegates to check their registration, familiarise themselves with the Hopin platform and visit the Expo Booths. Conference organisers will be on hand to help with any tech support and answer any questions. The event will remain live until 17.00 on Saturday the 7th Nov for delegates to come back in to network, hold their own sessions and explore Expo Booths they didn't have time to look at earlier.

I do hope you are able to join us, at least for some part of our conference and help us to make Perth the most sustainable small city in Europe.  One of the advantages of the online platform is it can deal with large numbers of delegates so please feel free to pass this invitation onto others you feel will be interested.

Kind regards
