Charity Trustee Opportunity with PKCT
Appointment of Trustee to the Board Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT)
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to contribute to the future of the countryside and natural heritage of Perth and Kinross. PKCT is a small but dynamic charity with a staff of 5 engaged in a wide range of projects in the area relating to public access and education, the many historic trees, and conservation in general. Details of our work and more about our organisation can be found at the link below.
The Board of Trustees
The Trustees have collective responsibility for oversight and development of the Trust in line with OSCR guidelines, for agreeing the organisation’s strategy, its governance, and work with its professional staff to account for the effective management and delivery of agreed projects on time and within budget.
Skills
Our recent organisational review has identified it would be of benefit if additional trustees brought some of the following skills:
• Marketing and Communication
• Charity governance
Time Commitment
The full Board meets four times each year. These quarterly meetings last 2-3 hours and usually take place in Perth, however there is currently a mix of online and in person meetings due to Covid. Between full Board meetings, Sub-Committee meetings are held. Trustees will also be expected to contribute to one or two Sub-Committees. The basic time commitment is likely to average around eight days per year.
Remuneration
Trustees are not remunerated and your contribution will be on a voluntary/pro bono basis.
Process
Please apply with a CV and cover letter to the Trust Director Peter Quinn at peter.quinn@pkct.org
