Scottish Government: COVID-19 Impact on Scotland's Economy, 21 April 2020

According to a report by the Chief Economist, Gary Gillespie, GDP could fall by a third due to the impact of tackling C-19.

The report includes a summary of the latest economic developments, together with Scottish Government analysis on the economy, the impact of social distancing, exposure risks and economy recovery.

Economy Secretary Fiona Hyslop said:

“Our response to COVID-19 is saving lives, but I am deeply aware that the pandemic is having an economic effect that is already being felt across Scotland."
